Description : Afghanistan is facing one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world with more than eighteen million people in need of assistance. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have treated more than 40,000 people wounded by weapons in June, July and August this year. Every day, those injured by mines and explosive devices are treated by medical teams and physical rehabilitation centres.
This video looks at the assistance provided to people with disabilities and the various activities that the ICRC has been carrying out in Afghanistan for over thirty years.
