Description :
Rabia Balkhi hospital is one of the biggest maternity hospitals in Kabul city. 432 staff are working there as doctors, nurses, midwives and trainers. About 80% of them are children. Every day, up to 80 babies are born and 30-35% by cesarian.
The Intternational Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) started supporting the hospital in November 2021. By paying and providing the salaries of the staff, the running costs and medical supplies. This support guarantees the availability of life-saving medical care. This support is crucial and the medicines donated are vital for the patients.
