Description :
Gaza City, October 25th, 2022. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) held its 3rd Humanitarian Diwan in cooperation with House of Wisdom. The Humanitarian Diwan aims to engage community and opinion leaders in a participatory dialogue on humanitarian action. 75 participants highlighted the humanitarian impact of longstanding occupation including 15 years of the closure of Gaza and cycles of armed hostilities and escalations on daily life in their communities. They expressed their desire for sustainable solutions to address the humanitarian consequences of the conflict and occupation. The Diwan explored how to support neutral, independent and impartial humanitarian action in complex times.
