Description :
Detailed presentation of the facilities and operation of the ICRC hospital in Peshawar where wounded Afghan refugees are cared for by the International Committee of the Red Cross ( ICRC) and Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies medical personnel as well as by local personnel. During an emergency situation in 1985 and due to a massive afflux of war-wounded persons, a field hospital had to be set up. The quick construction and the operational start-up of this temporary hospital were filmed.
