In the run-up to the International Day of the Disappeared (30 August), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is calling on governments around the world to do more about the plight of missing persons and their families. The ICRC is publishing a report (Missing persons – a hidden tragedy) to shed light on the sorely neglected problem of people missing in armed conflict and other situations of violence, and the plight of their families. This video contains testimonials from families of the Missing in Nepal, Peru and Georgia.
