Description : The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) manages the only surgical hospital on the Thai border, in Khmer refugee camps. The wounded admitted to this hospital require large quantities of blood, that's why the ICRC created a blood bank to collect blood given by Khmer refugees themselves. Recruitment of new donors, first-aid courses, construction of local blood donor clinics, blood donation, related testing and screening, training of local personnel.
