Description :
For hundreds of thousands of women, one of the worst consequences of armed conflict is the agonizing wait for news when brothers, husbands or sons have gone missing. On International Women’s Day (8 March 2008), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), calls on states to take measures to clarify the fate of the missing and inform the women left behind. Louma from Iraq and Dzidza from Bosnia-Herzegovina have both lost husbands in the course of conflict, and explain their longing to know the truth about what happened.
