Prisoners in Bagram Airbase, Aghanistan are now able to talk to relatives they have not seen for months and even years. A video phone link, set up by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the United States authorities, allows families to see and talk to their loved ones for 20 minutes at a time. It is a vital source of reassurance that both sides are alive and well.
