Description :
Liberia has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the world. According to the latest statistics from the World Health Organization (WHO), 994 women die in childbirth for every 100,000 deliveries. Five years after the violent civil war, there are still too few health workers and midwives. This video shows the efforts undertaken by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health to set up an innovative training program combining traditional knowledge and experience.
