Description :
Five clips (between 00:01:00 and 00:01:30 each) designed for broadcasting by Lebanese televisions as part of a press campaign. Testimonies of disabled persons benefiting from the care provided by the two International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) orthopedists, Emanuel Christen and Elio Erriquez, that were abducted on 6 October 1989 in Sidon.
Film No. 1: Interview with Nader, a young boy with two lower limb amputations, South Lebanon. The interviewee talks about the consequences for himself of the closure of the ICRC Orthopaedic Centre in Sidon, and calls for the release of the two orthopaedic surgeons.
Film No. 2: Interview with Amal's mother, a young girl with a lower limb amputation, South Lebanon. The interviewee talks about the difficulties of her daughter, who, because of the closure of the ICRC's orthopaedic centre in Sidon, can no longer go to school, where she is the laughing stock of other children.
Fiolm No. 3: Interview with the head of the Nabatiyeh Association for the Handicapped, South Lebanon. The interviewee talks about the ICRC Orthopaedic Centre in Sidon, the consequences of its closure for the disabled in southern Lebanon, and calls for the release of the two orthopaedic surgeons.
Film No. 4: Interview with a young boy with a lower limb amputation, South Lebanon. The interviewee talks about the daily difficulties he faces as a disabled person, which have been aggravated by the closure of the ICRC's orthopaedic centre in Sidon.
