As radio remains the easiest way of reaching many Somalis, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the BBC pool their efforts to trace missing persons. Each week, the ICRC provides the BBC Somali Service with the names of 125 missing Somalis, which the BBC then reads out on the air.
