Description :
Most of the Syrian refugees living in host communities in Jordan are unable to pay for food, health care, rent, water or electricity. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Jordan Red Crescent Society are helping out by distributing debit cards to vulnerable families in Mafraq Governorate. Lama is a widow in her thirties with a 9-year-old daughter. The cash she receives enables her to buy fruit and vegetables, dramatically improving their diet, but she is bitter and homesick, and explains how hard it is to be a refugee.
