Description : When you look at country like Iraq, Syria; when you see what people go through in country like South Sudan, Central African Republic or even Gaza, you understand that more than ever the idea that rules should be implemented in war, it's critical. And this idea is so much challenged right now. And it is critical to understand that 150 years after the Geneva conventions were created, we need to fight for these ideas. And the we is not just the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). It is all of you, whoever you are - in armed groups, as President of a country, as a citizen. You need to make sure that rules are respected, that the Geneva conventions need to be alive. They need to respected everywhere. This is critical. We cannot accept that civilians or health workers are killed. That they are considered as collateral damage in a war. They are not. They are people. They are critical. This is what the Geneva Convention is about. Think about it. Please act.
