One year after the creation of the Friends of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), vice-president Christine Beerli thanks our private donors for enabling ICRC delegates to respond instantly to emergencies without waiting for funds. Ms Beerli hopes that the special relationship with our Friends will become even stronger during 2015, a year that is already giving cause for concern as regards Europe and the Middle East.
