Description :
Fighting in Al-Zabadani (50 kilometres north-west of Damascus) resulted in hundreds of families fleeing to safety in Bludan, Madaya and Buqqin. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent, working closely with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), sent humanitarian aid to the displaced. The host communities provided warehouses to store the aid, and set up medical posts to treat the sick and the wounded. Some of the wounded were evacuated to a Damascus hospital and returned the next day. The operation lasted three days.
