Description :
In Ethiopia, since the fighting ended, over 200,000 demobilized soldiers of the former governmental armed forces have left Eritrea to try and make their way back home on foot. They come from central and southern regions which are over 1,000 kilometers away. Faced with this massive exodus of an extremely destitute population in a country ruined by decades of conflict, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) launched a large-scale assistance programme.
