What should be done when dozens of seriously injured people arrive at the doors of a hospital? Who should be treated first? How should they be organised? To prepare medical staff for such an eventuality, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Democratique republic of the Congo (DRC) regularly organizes triage exercises in many places where violence and clashes can lead to massive influxes of wounded. A recent simulation took place at Bukavu General Hospital.
