Description : Landmines, trip wires, unexploded shells, the people of eastern Ukraine are confronted with these on a daily basis. Fighting continues in some areas, while in others it has stopped, but explosive remnants of war threaten civilians everywhere. The ICRC is trying to prevent mine accidents by informing people about the threats.
We explain how to stay safe, run special sessions for children, supply danger signs and put up posters. Even when a conflict is over, explosive remnants of war continue to pose a threat for many years.
