Description :
Since 2009, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) provides targeted assistance narrowed to the most vulnerable population in South Ossetia : disabled and elderly without family support, families with many children and single parents. This assistance includes food and non-food package, one-dry-room housing repairs, domestic support for the disabled and bed-ridden elderly and assistance in obtaining social welfare papers. In 2014, 439 families in South Ossetia received food and non-food assistance and 12 families benefited from “one-dry-room” support. ICRC domestic support staff regularly visit 13 elderly and bed-ridden people.
