Description : Nejmeh is Syrian, she's 14 and has been a refugee in Lebanon for two years. She was a good student and decided to teach a class for refugee children who live as she does in Ketermaya. She teaches them what she had learned at school, science, math and English. When the tent in which she was teaching the young ones was destroyed by rain, she was not discouraged. She moved the class outside and diligently carried on with her lessons in the open air.
Ketermaya, one of the informal settlements near the Chouf Mountains, houses some 50 families, around 300 people in all. They are surviving thanks to the owner of the land, and the generosity of the local community. But despite this help, and the assistance they receive from the Lebanese Red Cross, life for the camp's residents is desperately hard.
