In April 2015, the ICRC and the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC) organized a special photo exhibition to mark the 40th anniversary of the start of the civil war in Lebanon. The exhibition featured photographs from the Red Cross archives and from Lebanese photographers. The images and testimonies of people affected by conflict, photographers, LRC volunteers and ICRC delegates illustrated many of the humanitarian issues faced in Lebanon during the past four decades.
