Description :
The world is experiencing the biggest humanitarian crisis since in years. 20 million people face famine in 4 countries : South Sudan, Yemen, Nigeria and Somalia. The root cause of these crises is protracted conflict and the numbers are unprecedented
One in three households in South Sudan urgently need food.
In Yemen, 70% of the country is reliant on aid that is not getting in.
In Borno State, Nigeria, 300,000 children could suffer from severe malnutrition.
In Somalia, 6.2 people are facing starvation. That is over half of the population.
Red Cross and Red Crescent are on the ground. We’re scaling up operations, but the needs are overwhelming. We have three or four months to act. If we don’t millions could die of starvation.
