Description :
Biogas production, in other words, turning human organic waste into fuel, began in Tsiafahy high-security prison in June 2016. This system was the first of its kind in Madagascar's prisons. It not only removes the need for problematic septic tanks, but also reduces firewood consumption, saving money and the environment.
