Description :
The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is working to respond to the humanitarian needs of migrants in the region since 2012 through assistance and dialogue with responsible authorities and organizations of Civil society involved in the issue. This action is exclusively humanitarian and does not seek to encourage or discourage migration.
One of the greatest added values ??of the Movement is its presence in the countries of origin, transit and recipients of migrants, which allows it to know and have proximity to this population in all stages of its migration process. Humanity being the guiding principle of the Movement, preserving the life and dignity of people is a priority for the Red Cross.
El Movimiento Internacional de la Cruz Roja y de la Media Luna Roja trabaja para dar respuesta a las necesidades humanitarias de las personas migrantes en la región, desde el 2012, a través de actividades de asistencia y el diálogo con autoridades responsables y organizaciones de la sociedad civil involucradas en la temática. Esta acción es de carácter exclusivamente humanitario y no busca incentivar ni desincentivar la migración.
Uno de los mayores valores agregados del Movimiento es su presencia en los países de origen, de tránsito y receptores de personas migrantes, lo que le permite conocer y tener cercanía con esta población en todas las etapas de su proceso migratorio. Siendo la humanidad el principio rector del Movimiento, preservar la vida y la dignidad de las personas es una prioridad para la Cruz Roja.
