Speaking from Donetsk, the head of the ICRC's sub-delegation, Joan Audierne, tells how escalating fighting in and around the city in the last two weeks has seen the situation for civilians dramatically worsen. People are scared to move around and the ICRC has been obliged to temporarily suspend some of its planned humanitarian activities in the city and along the frontline. ICRC teams are on standby to resume their work as soon as possible.
