Description : Every year, mines and unexploded munitions kill and maim thousands of people around the world. Today, it is the people of eastern Ukraine who face this hazard. Unexploded munitions come in different shapes and colours. And former combat zones are not the only places where these devices turn up. So the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is working with Red Cross personnel on the ground to help people stay safe.

Cada año, las minas y municiones sin estallar matan y mutilan a miles de personas en todo el mundo. Hoy, el pueblo del este de Ucrania enfrenta este peligro. Las municiones sin estallar vienen en diferentes formas y colores. Y las antiguas zonas de guerra no son los únicos lugares en donde aparecen estos artefactos. Por ello, el Comité internacional de la Cruz Roja (CICR) trabaja con personal de la Cruz Roja en el terreno para contribuir con la seguridad de la población.
