With winter looming people living close to the front line are even more vulnerable. Military actions in the Lugansk region of Ukraine have left many homeless, while the majority of those with homes have to find ways to repair broken windows, destroyed roofs, and face other struggles concerning shelter before winter comes.
How can residents overcome these difficulties, when even the basics such as food and hygiene remain a challenge ? The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross' (ICRC) team in Lugansk answers these questions and more in this short video direct from Ukraine.
Con la llegada del invierno, las personas que viven en la línea del frente se vuelven más vulnerables. Las acciones militares en la región ucraniana de Lugansk han dejado a muchas personas sin vivienda, mientras que la mayoría de las que sí tienen casa han tenido que ingeniárselas para reparar ventanas y techos, y tomar otros recaudos para protegerse antes de la llegada del invierno. ¿Cómo pueden los residentes superar estas dificultades, cuando incluso las cuestiones básicas como los alimentos y la higiene siguen siendo problemáticas?
