Description : Hundreds of migrants have lost their lives at Evros river on the Greek-Turkish border.
Poppi Lazaridou, assistant in Alexandroupolis morgue testifies : "That night it was minus eleven degrees. From the autopsy we say that the woman has frosbite. Her fingers were black, she couldn't walk. Her husband left her with their son and went for help. They hid on the side of road. When he came back, after on hour, the couldn't find them. By the time the police found them, they were dead. I get goose bumps just thinking about it."
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) provides support and training to Greek forensic authorities in recovering, analysing and identifying bodies found in Evros.
