Description : On 15 December 2016, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Georgia organized an event in Tbilisi, “Forget-Me-Not”, marking the end of its multidisciplinary support programme for the families of missing persons in Georgia.
Government officials, members of partner non-governmental organizations, experts, academics and the families attended the event.
Launched in 2010, the programme has achieved its goal of empowering the families of missing persons to address their psychological, social, legal and financial issues.
During those seven years, some 1,650 families received assistance.
The programme’s main achievements, lessons learned, and future prospects were discussed at the event, where the ICRC also presented a publication entitled Forget-Me-Not, giving an overview of the implementation of the programme between 2010 and 2016.
