The ICRC Regional Director for the Americas, Angela Gussing, visited the region in March 2017. On that occasion, she spoke about the International Committee of the Red Cross' (ICRC) work in Brazil and other Latin American countries, focused on the humanitarian consequences of past and present conflicts and other situations of violence.
La jefa de Actividades Operacionales del Comité internacional de la Cruz Roja (CICR) para América, Angela Gussing, visitó la región en marzo de 2016. En esa ocasión habló acerca de la labor de la Institución en Brasil y en otros países de América Latina, y manifestó su preocupación por las consecuencias humanitarias de los conflictos pasados, como en Perú o Guatemala, pero también los presentes, como Colombia.
