Abdul Qadir from Jawzjan province in the north of Afghanistan explains why he donates blood and what it means to help save lives.
As conflict continues in Afghanistan and humanitarian needs grow, small acts of humanity like Abdul's are needed more than ever.
The ICRC has been supporting Sheberghan hospital in Afghanistan since 1999. It supplies the blood bank with blood bags, testing sets, laboratory equipment and provides technical follow up as well.
