Description : The region of Pakistan-administered Kashmir is known for its natural beauty and history. Over the years, its people have suffered from Indo-Pak hostilities as well as one of the worst earthquakes in human history.
The Muzaffar Physical Rehabilitation Centre (MPRC) was established in 2007, to cater for the huge number of the disabled in this region.
The ICRC runs a large physical rehabilitation program in Pakistan, that provides treatment, physiotherapy and walking aids (wheelchairs, crutches, orthoses etc.) to the needy patients along with a proper follow up.
In 2013, for the first time in the history of the Narul Stadium in Muzaffarabad, disabled cricketers took to the field, in what was surely one of the most special occasions of their lives. Watch the cricket team of the Pakistan Cricket Board compete against the ICRC's Muzaffarabad Physical Rehabilitation Centre in a thrilling game.
