Description : The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) provides relief to the population of former Yugoslavia, notably through neighbourhood kitchens and schools, assistance to medical facilities, as well as drinking water supply. Visits to prisoners and their release under the auspices of the ICRC are also important activities, as well as distribution of messages by the Central Tracing Agency, which allows families to receive news from their close relatives. ICRC delegates also disseminate principle of international humanitarian law to the armed forces.
