The Conflict and violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has had very serious consequences on the people : villages have been burned, crops destroyed, many have been killed, wounded, or traumatized, among them are victims of sexual violence.
Communities in South Kivu have set up 'Maison d’écoute' or counselling houses. In these houses, victims of sexual violence receive psycho-social support.
