Description :
The South Asia teaching session on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) was held in Colombo on 3th-8th July 2017. The seminar saw more than 40 participants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Iran come together to study IHL. They took part in panel discussions on wide-ranging topics in the field of IHL and shared their experiences. The participants included government officials, members of the armed forces, police services, Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and academics.
