In the Kasai region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the upsurge in violence in 2016 and 2017 severely cut back commerce. But even without adeqaute roads or regular transport, goods are still getting aroud... by bike !
Bicycling businessmen buy, transport and sell essential goods, over long distances, throughout the region. On remote roads, they are vulnarable to bandits. But they never stop.
