Description :
Life in prison can be dangerous especially in a country torn apart by violence. Each year, doctors from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visit thousands of detainees.
They make sure :
1. That detainees are not being tortured or ill-treated.
2. That they get proper medical care, particularly for infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis.
3. That they have enough to eat.
Because everyone, no matter what they have done, deserves to be treated humanely.
