Description :
The Darién gap is an inhospitable swathe of jungle and water on the border of Colombia and Panama. It's crawling with... poisonous frogs, snakes and scorpions. Crminal gangs hide beneath its canopy. Every year thousands of migrants attempt to cross the Darién gap in search of safety and better life. Meanwhile relatives at home wait anxiously, for a sign of life.
The Red Cross Society of Panama and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have set up calling points to help people contact their loved ones.
