In Myanmar, thanks to 354 tailors, over 61,300 people living in iinternal displaced persons camps across Mrauk U, Kyauktaw, Pauktaw and Rathedaung townships are getting masks to help reduce the risk of COVID-19.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) helps these tailors engage in income-generating activities supporting them with fabric and sewing machines. They produce over 123,000 masks in two weeks for displaced communities in Rakhine.
