There is a rare piece of good news for 2020… Nuclear weapons are about to become illegal.
On October 24th, 2020, the 50th state ratified the Treaty for the prohibition on nuclear weapons. It will enter into force on January 22th, 2021. But there are still more than 13,000 nuclear weapons in the world.
