Description :
Winter can be harsh for families displaced and affected by conflict. It can be a challenge to sustain farms and livelihoods. The situation has become even more difficult this year with the impact of COVID-19. International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) team in Kachin State supported families in seven townships across the state with winter seeds and basic farming tools over the last few weeks November 2020. Some 3750 families will cultivate crops for themselves this winter. The extra produce will be sold at the market as the cold weather moves in.
