In two weeks, escalating fighting in Tigray and northern Ethiopia has triggered immense suffering and risks spiralling into a wider humanitarian crisis. Health care facilities are in urgent need of medical support to care for the wounded. Apollo Barasa, health coordinator, explains how the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works closely with the Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) to provide humanitarian assistance since the fighting started on the 4th of November 2020.
