Description :
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people around the world lose contact with their loved ones as a result of wars and conflicts. Not knowing where their loved ones are or whether they are still alive is an unimaginable burden.
Khalil Rihan has experienced this. For months, the father of a family imprisoned in Lebanon from 1983 to 1985 had no way of contacting his relatives. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) tracing service finally enabled him to re-establish contact with his family through the exchange of Red Cross messages. Thirty years later, he holds on to them as a symbol of hope and love.
