Description :
March 2021, in Bukavu, South-Kivu province, eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) organised a training in driving and mechanics of motobike ambulances for volunteers of the Red Cross Society of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and some colleagues. The use of these vehicles will enable access to health care for armed wounded, victims of violence or other types of life-threatening emergencies.
Salamabila in Maniema is the pilot area for the deployment of the project. Trainees will be expected th share their knowledge with other Red Cross volunteers.
