During this pandemic, priority must be given to the safety and well-being of the staff involved in the management of the COVID-19 dead. It is also important to ensure that religious and cultural beliefs are respected in order to preserve the dignity of the dead.
To this end, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has developed specific guidelines addressing issues related to the management of the COVID-19 dead.
