Description :
Testimony of Stanley Motimele, a former inmate of Robben Island Prison, off the coast of Cape Town.
Charged with acts of terrorism in 1987, he is imprisoned for four years and kept in solitary confinement for the first ten months. With no visitors and no one to talk to, he is physically and psychologically abused during what he describes as intensive and very painful interrogations. In the collective cells, he finally manages to meet his family and friends during "family reunions" organised by the South African Red Cross Society. Once released, it is a whole new world that opens up to him, one where everyone has the right to move around freely.
