Testimony of Jean-François Kouassi, a volunteer with the Red Cross Society of Côte d'Ivoire.
Having worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for nearly twenty-six years, he speaks about his country, which he describes as warm and welcoming. Côte d'Ivoire was built thanks to its people, who are a true cultural mosaic made up of some sixty ethnic groups, but above all thanks to its fertile soil, which favours agriculture. Unfortunately, since 2011, a post-election crisis has encouraged the socio-political polarisation of its population. In collaboration with the Red Cross Society of Côte d'Ivoire, the ICRC continues to intervene in the country to assist in various areas such as health, economic security and protection.
