Families of missing persons are still looking for answers. As of today, over 145,000 persons around the world are registered as missing by their families with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). New cases are added everyday.
Families of missing persons have economic, legal and psychological and psychosocial needs. Somme are getting support through ICRC's accompaniment program. It helps them deal with the difficulties of their loved ones' disappearance. In peer-support sessions, families shared their feelings and struggles. But they also shared positive memories of their loved ones.
ICRC's accompaniment program continue to date, expanding to Zamboanga and Cotabato. For families of missing persons, time does not heal. Answers do. Let us not forget the missing and their families. They are still hoping for answers.
