During the past months, in September and October 2021, armed clashes have been on the rise in Shan State, Myanmar, forcing people like Ma Than Than Aye to flee violence and leave everything behind.
In Kyaukme, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) just assisted 447 displaced families with cash assistance so they can pay for shelter, food, and medicines.
Across Myanmar, the ICRC works with communities affected by armed conflict and COVID-19, supporting their recovery and resilience.
