Arkan Mahmoud, a fisherman from the old city of Mosul, prepares his boat as he sets out for the day.
The financial situation of Mahmoud’s family had been unstable since the loss of his father in 2017 due to a mortar blast.
The fishing boat provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) now helps him support his family and ensure a dignified life for them.
